The Adagio in G minor for strings and organ on two thematic ideas and on a numbered bass by Tomaso Albinoni, known as Adagio di Albinoni, is a composition by the musicologist Remo Giazotto published in 1958 by Ricordi.
Giazotto declared that he had "reconstructed" the alleged Adagio on the basis of a series of fragments by Tomaso Albinoni that were found in the rubble of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek in Dresden following the bombing of the city during the Second World War.
The fragments would have been part of a slow movement of a sonata (or concert) in G minor for strings and organ, of which unfortunately there have never been concrete certainties.
